Connecting with the Quran
وَلَقَدْ يَسَّرْنَا الْقُرْآنَ لِلذِّكْرِ فَهَلْ مِن مُّدَّكِرٍ
And We have certainly made the Qur'an easy for remembrance, so is there any who will remember?
(Quran 54:32)
This challenge is repeated many times in Surah Al-Qamar of the Quran. Which one of us will take this challenge? A journey of a thousand miles begins with one step. This initiative is to help facilitate that step for many of us. In sha Allah, Allah ﷻ will guide us and help us in this journey!

Welcome to Connecting with the Quran
Our goal is to please our Rabb ﷻ and develop Taqwa by connecting with the Quran at a deeper level. We hope and pray that this program serves as an introduction and motivation for all of us to recite Quran in Arabic, read its translation in English and become familiar with some of the motifs and themes of the Quran.
ABOUT THE PROGRAM
What's the idea?
Guided WhatsApp groups to help us unlock and open our hearts to the Noor and blessings of the Quran.
Around a Juz/ Sipara of the Quran every week.
(Separate groups for brothers and sisters)
Participants will get an opportunity to share their reflections and ask any related questions from Islamic Scholars.
Why this and why now?
Pondering over the events in the last 6-8 months, it seems that we are at a turning point in human history. Potentially, with the combination of all that's going on in different parts of the world at personal, social, economic and political levels, it seems highly likely that the post-COVID world that emerges will be a very different world than the pre-COVID one.... It is important to prepare ourselves for the days and years ahead spiritually, physically and economically by studying history, diversifying our assets and skills, stocking up on items of need, taking care of our health, building our immunity and, most importantly, making sure we and our families have a strong relationship with our Creator.
The Quran tells us to prepare, but then reminds us:
"...the very best preparation is taqwa.”
Hadith tells us that fitnas will come and way to navigate them is to hold on tight to the Quran and the sunnah.
Who can participate?
It will be beneficial for everyone (regardless of gender and level of knowledge or religiosity) who is looking to take another step towards connecting with the Quran and could benefit from some motivation in a peer group of same gender. Will be especially beneficial for:
1. Teenagers and young adults wanting some background knowledge about their religion
2. Someone who has not had the time or opportunity to learn the Quran and its meanings
3. Not a Muslim but interested to know the message of the Quran

The participants who join the challenge and follow it for 30 weeks will bi ith nillah develop a habit of having Quran as their constant companion.
A current series (aired in Ramadan 2020) that covers the topics that are weighing on the minds and hearts of today’s Muslim youth and families in a comprehensive yet light manner.
